Charles Hamilton I’ve been selling to men in Tyler for over 30 years and most of my long-time customers are good friends as well as customers. If a customer comes in today and then he comes in again in 6 months, he's going to see the same faces.
In this society where we're mostly known in a computer, I like to have a personal relationship with my customers. I sell clothes to people all over the country. Even if I never meet someone in person, I still build a relationship. I make a lot of phone calls. I send thank-you notes, and I make calls for birthdays.
I have people call me all the time asking me what to put with this, and can I wear this, and does this go together? I have to keep up with fashion trends. If you're trying to sell clothes and you don’t, you die. I buy and sell things for the store that other people love, even if I might not personally buy it. People have different tastes and their tastes change – that’s just part of life.
